$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

nice bounceback from yesterday.  was all over the place in this one.  got up about 110 early on, then was stuck about 40.  the hand that butchered me, I have random garbage on the button with nut clubs, the flop is 8 5 2 with 2 clubs, I also flop bottom 2.  the bb had raised preflop...it's checked around to me with 4 way action so I pot it for 10...the bb instantly pots over me to 40, I have about 80 in play.  I can't imagine what he raised with here that would beat me, and I have to be either drawing live or am good, so I shove it, and he calls and shows 8833, wow man, really? Anyway, I brick out and that's what cost me my win.  I was grinding for a good hour hovering around even, but finally woke up with a hand.  I have trash in bb, with nut hearts, someone min raises it and I of course call.  I flop the mortals on a 3 4 8 flop, all hearts.  I check it, preflop bets, another guy calls, so I insta pot it, would've been happy to get the 12 bucks or whatever that was in there.  The raiser folds, but the button calls.  The turn is a brick 7, I shove and get called by 4 4, the J peels the river and I drag about a 120 buck pot.  Hit a few other decent wins, mostly vs. short stacks that didn't seem to mind shoving into my top set with one pair.

$0.05/0.10 Texas Hold'em

lol...sat down for 10 more minutes with Ryan and won one nice pot.

I was BB.  MP limped.  CO made it .40.  I called with AsQh.  Limper called too.  1.25 in the pot.

Flop came Qd 6s 2s.  I checked.  MP checked.  CO bet 1.00.  I called and MP folded.  3.25 in the pot.

Turn was Qc and I checked.  CO bet 2.25. and I called.  7.75 in the pot.

River was 2c.  Not the greatest card cuz I might be splitting w/ KQ and QJ now if those were in this guy's range.  I bet about 4.50 and he called and mucked.  He had KK....lucky me but I like the way I played the hand regardless.

April 10, 2010, 12AM: Played 8 hours, 30 minutes, Made $5.00 at Full Tilt
$1 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (245th out of 8914 Players)

The 8 hours are for my whole day's worth of tourneys.  I satty'd into this tourney so it was a dollar buy in but I was free-rolling.

Played a very big bvb coinflip.  If I could have won that hand I woulda had 200k at 2k-4k blinds.  This is a sick tournament.  Has an overlay every day and tons of people that qualified to play for free so very soft.  Just so many people that I feel like I have run pretty good in this twice and gotten 216 (I think) and 245.....It would basically be the equivalent of winning the lotto lol.

April 9, 2010, 7PM: Lost $2.20 at Full Tilt
$2 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (221st out of 1116 Players)

Got it in with KQ on a Q77 board against AK and flush draw and he got there.  Oh well.

Also, interesting spot.  I was big blind with Qh2h.  MP limps.  LP limps.  I check.  Flop is Th 2s 5s.  Checks around.  Turn is a 2c.  I lead out and MP calls.  I thought he had a flush draw at this point as I assumed he would bet a T on the flop.  Also small chance he could have 55 imo.  River is 3d.  I lead out about half pot for value and he ships quickly.  First thing I thought was A4 with the spade draw and he hit the straight.  Also could be the 55 filling up.  Couldn't figure out how he could be bluffing b/c it seems so possible I could have a 2 in the blinds.  I thought for a while and folded.  Maybe should have called...don't know.

April 9, 2010, 4PM: Played 28 minutes, Lost $162.70 at full tilt rush
$0.25/0.50 Omaha

tired after one job on way to practice and then other job, so had no business playing but wanted to get my points for the day.  one of first hands it's my sb vs. bb, I have A J J 10 and limp, he raised I call...flop is A 7 8, so I peel off and find the yahtzee 9 on turn, I check raise and he shoves over for 50 and rolls over 8 9 9 J with spade draw and finds the flush on me.  Then I really started playing way too many hands after that and really self inflicted this loss.  Very disappointed in how I played today.

was actually up another hundred, but finally lost a pot I had a few chips in.  The one hand I lost I am in bb with A 8 3 3, one limper, me sb I call, flop is A 8 6, I lead and get raised, turn 3, so now I am married to it, like a moron, they pot, I call, river is a J...I pay off the 24 all in and am shown the case aces.  Not too happy with that hand as they raised or bet every step of the way.  Most of this session I was really just playing pretty mellow, try to take advantage of position.  Got lucky a few times vs. aggressive donkeys who couldn't fold a big pair or a smaller flush.  Really happy with how things are going on here lately.

April 7, 2010, 7PM: Played 7 hours, 30 minutes, Made $660.00 at Soaring Eagle Casino
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

Slow night for the majority.  Was in for $400 and got down to around $125.  Table really got soft as it got later.  The more experienced players left, and the younger looser players showed up around 12pm.  A big hand I had was right after I started to pick up some steam.  I was on a run and started raising preflop a lot.  I had QQ and raised to $15 but received no callers.  The very next hand I had QQ again, and made the exact same raise.  I got 4 callers.  Flop came 5 6 7, with two hearts.  I thought for sure someone had hit, or there were strong draws out there.  I bet $45 on the flop and they both called.  The turn came a blank, and I bet $75.  One player went all in for $95 and the other called.  I should of immediately pushed, but I feared I was already behind.  The turn came another blank, completing no draw.  The other player checked and I checked behind.  Both players missed their draws and I took it down.  Great night altogether.

April 3, 2010, 11PM: Played 3 hours, 15 minutes, Made $350.00 at Motor City Casino
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

My first hand I came into was the big blind, and I was sitting with 10 10.  I did not raise, and the flop came K 10 4 all hearts.  It went check all around.  Turn came Ace of clubs, and there was a $15 bet that was raised to $30 by the button.  I called and the initial bettor called the extra $15.  The turn came another Ace, giving me 10's full of Aces.  It went check around to the button who then bet $45.  I called and he showed A4 with the Ace of hearts.  He was not going anywhere after the flop, and especially after the turn.  I got off with a minimal loss.

I flopped another set with 8's later in the night.  This flop also had three to a flush, with all clubs.  The board then paired on the turn and I made a decent amount of money.  I was very pleased with my play and my finish considering I was down $75 or so after the first hand.

April 8, 2010, 1AM: Played 5 hours, Made $4.00 at Full Tilt
$1 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (216th out of 8830 Players)

Feels good to get really deep.  Early in the tournament I had a psychotic table which was nice.  It was a double stack tourney so I was able to sit back and look for good spots against the crazy people.  I built a big stack early and hung around there for a while.

Right after we hit the money at 1080 people left I made a couple of loose plays that I should def. should not have been trying to make.  I had about 9k at 400-800 blinds and got it in with AQ.  I ran into AK and 66 but was very lucky and flopped QQ8 to triple up to about 30k.

From there I picked up a few nice hands and won decent sized pots w/o showing anything down and was at about 70k My high point was 120k after busting a short stack and winning a decent sized pot with AQ.  However, shortly after that high point I lost a 60-40 with a super short stack and blinded down to about 77k.

At this point blinds were 2500-5000 and I made it 12,121 to go from EP.  My tight play earned me 3 calls lol.  Flop came Q93 with two clubs.  SB bet min bet 5k into the 50k pot.  I shipped my remaining 64k (ish) and it folded back around to the SB.  He tanked before calling with KT clubs.  Turn was a blank and river was a club.  Would have been nice to have the 185k pot and 37bb's but I guess you can say that every time you bust.

The one thing I considered right after was whether or not I could just call the flop and if/when the turn comes a non-club then ship it, but shipping it on the flop is def best.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

was stuck about 50 early on having an annoying beat put on me, but for some reason I can't remember exactly what it was, just recall bitching about it to my wife who was sitting with me.  I got even, then I got all in pre with AA vs. AA and he had a random 2 on the 2 2 x flop so that stung.  After that I went on a flush rush.  I must've flopped the nut flush draw 10 times and hit all 10 the rest of the session.  Every time it seemed I had position and the aggressive player kept firing into me.  Also had another hand where I flop top set vs. preflop raiser and he open bluffed 40 into the river on the K 9 7 3 9 board with Q 10 10 8, was pretty happy with him calling my betting on the flop and turn after I saw that trash.  Running pretty smooth lately and very happy about the ability I have had to get on a cooler and not make it worse by pressing after I get stuck or take a beat.  One of my major problems is getting into the fuck it mentality and just shoving on draws or trying to get guys to lay hands down.  I really think rush poker is good for me in that regard because the hands come out so quick I really don't have too much time to dwell on a kick in the nuts hand, I am forced to move on.
