July 29, 2007, 2PM: Played 4 hours, 30 minutes at River Rock
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Good Session played well.
 
Negatives: Some stupid player called $40 pf raise with K8 hearts ...... after 3 players behind her called.  I did raising with 10,10.
 
Flop comes Qs,10s,9h.  I bet $150 into a $200 pot.  Player with 800 deep calls.  Dumb player with $350 calls as well ....????!!!!!
 
Turn is a sad 2h. 1st player check, donkey player bets $100 ...???? I call cheaply hoping to fill up. Next player calls as well.  River comes 5h.  Goes check , check, check.
 
Donkey woman shows Kh,8h.  Just bad play.
 
Lesson: Build patience and tolerance as it will be needed to be good poker player.

Wow you are a real DONKEY!
 
was up about 5 or 6 hundey but play way too many hands, and really didnt care about playing proper towards the end.
 
Shame on flushing HARD EARNED bankroll like this. 
 
REmember the hard times trying to make 200 ....!!!
 
Lesson: Value chips, and play proper. Patient is invaluable in poker and in life.

Real Grind today ...... was 2 buy ins in hole, but grinded back until up +200.
 
No pts for playing , but OK for not giving up and grinding and walking away up.

July 16, 2007, 2PM: Played 9 hours at Venetian
$330 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (4th out of 86 Players)

Played very solid today .. happy with play. 
But played final table so so only ......
 
Positives: played patient and solid poker throughout and went with read regardless
 
negatives: played too passively at final table when going in as Chip Leader.
 
Also: Limped pot, checked around on the flop.  Turn comes 2nd club. I bet out 75% pot with Top pair no kick, and got caller.  river comes 3rd club. I check, player bets out 40% pot, and I paid him off .... what did you think he was calling turn with???? Please lay it down next time.
 
Also: Knock out hand, Ad,2d.  45k in chips.  blinds 2k-4k.  CL who has 110 K, raises to 12k, also has raised last 4 xs in row .... I reraise him all in.  He calls with AJ.
 
ALthough, he COULD be raising with JUNK .... do you REALLY want to put Tourney life on A2 diamonds ???? If he calls its still coin flip with Junk. And maybe worst at 4-1 dog!!!
 
Simply BAD PLAY!
 
Plus jump in $ was 2100 to 3500.  That was real stupid..

July 15, 2007, 5PM: Played 11 hours at Wynn
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

-1100 the worst day of trip ... played way too loose! and tried bluffing way too much.
 
Today was a bad poker day as I got a 2nd chance to leave -250 after being -1000 hole. 
Really it came down to being too loose, playing too many pots, callling too many raises, and bluffing at pots too many times.  The Key lesson here is CALLING OFF chIps .... the biggest sign of DONKEY.  (playing catch up)

$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Came from behind win ..... waited patiently for the big hand to scoop big pot.  Victory really came down to 1 BIG pot. 
 
Positive: played patiently and untilt even after losing big pot early on.
