what a rollercoaster...started off 160 stuck about a dozen hands in..got even finally then was up about 200 before getting over 100 stuck again.  there was this donkey claiming he was drunk who would shove in with anything...K876 comes to mind for 80 bucks, and the guy couldn't miss..he turned his 200 into 800 when I quit happy to survive heater....was hoping to hit a pot and quit and woke up with AAQQ and got 4 callers preflop after I potted it.  flop is 8 6 2 rainbow so I push the 40 at it...I get raised in one spot and overcalled in another...yeah, looking bleak...one rolls over 79JQ the other shows 8TJK, I was like huh? turn six river 3 gives me a 225 pot and gets me offline a winner! woohoo me.  not sure how they can even be anywhere near this pot but if that's how they play on a regular basis I should do okay in the long run but I will have some nights I want to punch my own balls off.

wow, I cant' remember running this smooth in ages.  this was a capped game where the most you could put into a pot was 40 bucks and man were the preflop raising donkeys willing to do it with AA regardless of flop.  it didn't hurt that I would flop hands like nut flush draw gutshot with two pair and have a guy drawing at an open ender.  anyway, I just tortured this table...good times!

started off great, was up 50 early on, but then the cooler went on and there was this donkey that had never played before that would bluff everytime and proudly show it, then the 3 or 4 times I would look him up with top weak or middle pair he would show me the world's fair.  I just don't do well in this place or in live low limit hold em games for that matter.

$3/6

was mostly just a session of dragging some big pots I found myself in...was a dealer's choice game, mostly omaha hi, omaha split or hold em.  I drag 3 huge pots in omaha hi to basically account for most of my win.  I went on a little cooler at the end, I was up over 220 winner but lost 3 pretty big pots against the same guy so I decided to give it up and take the win.

$3/6 Texas Hold'em

I am ashamed of this entry but I gotta log it I guess.  I am up about 30 early in the session when the following hand occurs...I have KK in the big blind, a late position player raises, I seriously consider slowplaying it but decide to reraise, he caps it.  The hand before this he was in the SB with AA and smooth called preflop, so I was 99.9% certain I was way ahead.  the flop comes something like 8 7 6 rainbow and I check it into him intending to raise the turn as I assume he has none of this shit, but if he had a middle wired pair good hand.  the turn comes a 4, putting 2 clubs out (you can see where this is going).  I check he bets, I check raise, he 3 bets I call.  The river is an innocent looking 2 of clubs.  check bet call, he rolls over K9 of clubs for the runner runner flush.  I was absolutely disgusted about how this hand was played that I basically went on a new kind of tilt for me where I played pretty much every hand that was suited or connected and slowly bled off chips all night.  anyway, the problem this presented for me is I flopped probably 20 flush draws and literally hit 0.  I did actually flop 1 flush, of course I was drawing dead to the larger flush that was flopped by my buddy I drove down with.  I am playing far too many hands, I am trying to run people off hands who will not fold, I am completely disgusted with how I played tonight, so it's definitely time for a reevalution of my game.  I am thinking it's probably something like fuck poker for the time being.

$3/6 Texas Hold'em

got lucky in a couple key pots...the first one was with JJ vs KK and 8 10 suited...flop comes down 8 T Q, pot is big enough I am getting odds to draw at this one, turn 2 river J, which is not the one I wanted to see, but it's good.  other hand was pretty basic...limped in with A2 suited and flop nut flush draw and drilled it on the river.  hit a couple sets and stuff to add a chip or 2 to the stack, was nice to play for the first time in a long while, kinda wish the game would've kept going but it ended up me and 2 other guys vs. me and the 2 kids I drove over with so was time to hang it up.

haven't played in ages, but our leader of the site deiyuo stopped by so I had to try and test my chops against the master...I ran okay in a few key pots except for my KK flopping top set vs. Q7 off and J9 off and watching the 4 flush somehow get there to ruin it for me.  other than that I guess I can't complain. deiyuo even booked the 9 dollar 'diaper' win! nice job jesse!

the final table

despite being ridiculed by certain members of poker log I stayed the course throughout the final table and saw the crowning of this Yang as our new champion.  I can't wait to see some hole cards on ESPN because I think this guy was bluffing a high percentage of the time and frequently made massive gamble calls for a lot of chips.  He basically just ran great in the hands when then money went in and if he bluffed the other times and got away with it I guess hats off to him.  I was rooting pretty hard for a pro to win it or at least someone who I respected at the final table, but the last several years it seems one person just catches a sick run and wins.  Does this mean that in a massive field that luck maybe wins out over skill? Varkoni, Moneymaker, and Gold for sure all proved that a donkey can win as none have done much since their title.  I think Hachem and Raymer have done well and were decent players that have now been given a chance to play full time and show their chops.  I guess I was anti Yang from the beginning when they had a clip of him telling about a hand where he had about 500k left late in the tournament, 2 people went all in ahead of him and he shoved in with A3 suited and made runner runner wheel to crack off the KK that was in the lead.  His raises at the final table were just ridiculous...making it 2.5 million to go with 120-240k blinds.  Then once he was involved in a pot he simply never folded.  If he put in some chips he was there til the end, making all in preflop calls with A9 for 8 million, KQ for several million, etc.  I was just frustrated watching this guy become the new champ.  What do you guys think?
