April 30, 2011, 10PM: Played 5 hours at Golden Nugget
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

sat down and tried to mix up the table and lost about 250 right off the bat then tightened down but was card dead for about 4 hours and was down to about 150 then a double up in a 7 way pot for 7 i had a 4 on a a 4 2 rainbow flop other had a k.  then table change which was good for me i started rechipping but around 5 am i was falling a sleep before i could get it all back and just went home.  despite the loss i felt i regained some confidence in the cash game and instead of trying to play everyflop im going to just tighten up a lot.  not typically my old style but with as card dead as i have been and running into the calling stations i have been running into i need to change something.

April 30, 2011, 7PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes at Aria
$125 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (26th out of 54 Players)

called an all in by A 10 with a q and lost then went all in with 10 10 vs 88 and lost. almost back to back then i only had about 1k left and pushed with 10 j c and got called by a j and lost blinds were 25 ante 200 and 400 blinds

April 30, 2011, 4PM: Played 2 hours at Ceasars Palace
$240 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (22nd out of 46 Players)

was making good reads and good calls just to get rivered. shouldn't have rebought but i was so much better than other players but big stack calling all ins with j 4 off and hitting like everytime.  i couldnt hit anything.

April 29, 2011, 10PM: Played 3 hours at Ceasars Palace
$85 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (16th out of 48 Players)

i get there at the break and sit down 1st hand A j i am at the cutoff i make it 1100 blinds are 150 and 3 with a 25 ante i get a button call and a under the gun call flop 33q utg checks i bet 2500 button folds bb shoves about 2 more i call and he shows a3 what a great start one hand and i am short.  i build it back up and become just over average stacked.  this guy kept shoving all in everytime i bet out and i folded everytime.  this time i get ak i bet out about 3000 blinds are 4 8 with a 200 ante he shoves then i get a call from next to him i shove all in over the top he had 11k i had 16k player thinks and then calls and shows aa the initial pusher (the guy that kept pushing me had k j) aa takes the pot and i head home.

April 29, 2011, 7PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes at The Orleans
$125 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (150th out of 250 Players)

was an alternate and didn't get to sit until 8pm didn't play 1st hand until 930pm had A 9 got excited to see something lead out got reraised and folded. next hand A10 i was bb raise and reraise before me i folded. then A2hearts in sb 1 raise before me i folded then 2 hands later i get A j i raise about 5 times the blind at the cutoff to 3200 and the bb reraises to 7500 i fold he later revealed qq after he did same thing to somebody else with kk.  now i am shortstacked however. i get 10 J clubs from next to the cut off only 1 limper i put in my stack 4500 minus 500 i left behind just for fun and i get a call by the limper who had A J and i flop a gut shot needed a 9 she bet the final 500 less than big blind and i call and loose.  off the ceasars

April 27, 2011, 10PM: Played 2 hours at Ceasars Palace
$85 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament

pretty much lil movement in chips i stayed average until i made a bad read.  i raise with q 9 to 700 at the cutoff in a 5 way limp pot blinds are 100 and 200 and 50 ante i get 2 callers flop comes 6 8 2 first player checks 2nd insta shoves 5K.  i think i put him on 7 9 i call he has 6 7 turn a 6 river a j knocks me down to 2500 then i limp pot i shove all in with A 8 and get called by the underthe gun limper with A j no help.  was making good reads tonight *with the exception of 67 for 68) but even then i knew he didnt want a call he just happened to bluff with bottom pair.

April 26, 2011, 7PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes at The Orleans
$75 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (57th out of 92 Players)

1st real hand i play 2 4 i raise to 400 blinds are 50 and 100 i was under the gun get called by middle position and no one else flop K J 7 i bet 1100 i get called turn an ace i bet 1600 i get called river a 3 i bet 3600 and i get a call he shows K 10 not sure what i did wrong maybe no bet enough on the turn i had no image yet.  later i found out he was a calling station but too lil info too late.  i then bust out and rebuy, i was only here because i was going to pick somebody up and that changed then i was only there because i was waiting on somebody.  or else i would not have bought back in.  i change tables. i raise at the cutoff 3.5 times the blind and get 2 callers then flop457 i have 67 all check i bet 1100 another reraises to 3500 (a solid player and another shoves all in i figure about 4 to 1 on my money a go all in other player folds. he shows 6 8 the straight no changes.  i have 1500 left just before the break i go all in blind with j 2 so i can rebuy and get called by 22 i river a j so no rebuy and still short chiped 1st hand after the break AJc i bet half my stack the good player shoves i want to fold so bad buy call anyways i showed QQ and i flush out.  then i get into a put in the bb with j2 diamonds flop345 all check to me and i need more chips so i bet about the pot half my stack i get a call from the earlier calling station and i reraise then i call the reraise which puts me all in then the calling staion schoves other folds and he shows 67 i river a small straight just for fun and i go home.

April 23, 2011, 10PM: Played 5 hours at Ceasars Palace
$85 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 69 Players)

got there at the start of the 2nd level (ceasars is a pain in the ass to park and it was the time janet jackson just got out of concert). i sit down and raise 1st hand then continue and they folded.  which was pretty much how the tourney went the table was rather soft and easy to put on hands. i build up chips staying about average or higher.  then i took a big hit wit AK vs A9 brought me down.  then get it all in with 88 vs 8 2 and we both get a straight.  not long after that i make a bet 3 times blind and about 1/4 my stack blinds were 400 and 800 i was in the cut off trying to steal with A 4 then the guy in the big blind (seemed like every time i raised preflop how would shove, i foldded JJ preflop to him earlier) i think for a bit then callhe has A K this time i hit my 4 on the turn right after i called it.  then a few hands later we are down to 14 now i limp under the gun and player to my left just over min raise. the blind.  all fold i call with 10 k flop comes j q 3 i bet about half my stack about 1/3 the pot he insta shoves.  i think about it and figure this was it i announce i might as well go for the win it paid 9 spots.  i call for an ace on the turn nothing then i call 9 river and i hit.  that made me chip leader.  i grew my lead up to the final table.  then 1st hand i get Ac Qh at the cut off.  player 2 to my left raises almost 3 times bb i call all fold flop Kh jh 7h she bets i call. turn 2h i have a q high flush she checks i check. river a 10d she bets 20k about 1/3 pot i call she shows Ah Qc for bigger flush.  my chips kinda dwindle since then.  but it is shove or fold time for most of the table.  we agree to pay bubble 10 each out of our pocket.  once we get rid of all the short stacks we are down to 3 i suggest a chop 925 each 1st was 1400 2nd was 828 I was chip leader by 10K with 200 and short stack was down like 60k.  felt good to get a win again i know a week isn't long from my back to backs but i was feeling like i was playing badly and too many hands before glad i was able to slow down and make better decions had to suck out twice to get there but more than that was done to me.

got a perfect table image but every river gave the other a flush or a straight just a horrible run.  atm was maxed out probably a good thing.  this is why i stopped playing cash games
