May 31, 2011, 10PM: Played 2 hours, 15 minutes at Ceasars Palace
$85 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (11th out of 52 Players)

was going to try to play ultra tight.  folded A Q twice early to raises and reraises.  then got ak called a shover with a caller after. flopped A k 10 i check dark player bets i call. then turn is 7 i check he bets i go all in and he calls shows A Q and misses and i get all of them.  but after that no premium hands stole a couple blinds lost a lil stealing a couple.  end up short stacked and get 44 another short stack went all in i called they had A 10 and hit the 10. i was the shorter stack

May 28, 2011, 12PM: Played 17 hours at Venetian

ahhhwww!! wanted to make final table so bad.  but can't complain about my finish.  32 hands into it i was down to 3k after starting with 12 semi bluffing a flush draw didnt catch.  stayed low stack until right before the 2nd break when my 1st suck out took place.  A 10 vs jj and somebody folded an a i still hit the ace then i had a lil spree of cards and got up to 60k before the break. i was a top 10 chips at that point.  about as fast as it came it left and i was back to 20 as the averages kept creeping up.  i need to start playing tighter when i have chips.  i was at 20k for about 4 hrs just counting the tables breaking.  1st day was going to level 14 and it was going to be close to cashing.  within an hour until the end of the day i managed to chip up to about 35 before i make my 2nd bet out raise in a row and T.J. Cloutier shoved on me i had qq i call he had 10 10 and missed.  then he went broke shortly after im not sure why but after that hand he seemed to of gone on tilt.  i chipped up to 135 at the end of day 1. avg chips was 108.  i slowly loose my chip average and i start just looking at the board waiting for the payout to increase.  i was already in the money only 8 had to go before we got there.  i go back to playing short stack for much of the day.  i get down to 60k with avg chips about 300 i look as the cards come out and the 1st was the Ad i made up my mind to shove i was the big blind and the blind was about 1/6 my stack the button shoves all in also a shorter stack but im still shorter i decide to look at the 2nd card and the other A was there it held up then i took some pots by shoving after a raise and no callers.  then i get kk all in against chip leader KQ and held up then i get into a big pot before the break (which i played badly) i call a min raise on the button with 6 9 off and flop a 9 and a 3 card flush i check dark and he checks. turn another 5 the flop was 9 7 5. i bet then call a 1/3 pot reraise. river was the 8 i checked dark and then he bets i min reraise and i get called giving me 480 with avg stack around 420 he showed 3 5s.  then my chips start to go away again. i get aa and win a decent pot not showing but calling a preflop raise and a post flop raise. then he check folds. the next hand i get qq i raise and short stack who has shoved 4 times since my table broke and i sat there in 10 mins i call nad he has kk after that it was basically hold on and bide for time making a few raises with premium hands but chips mostly blinding off at 4k ante and 15 and 30 blinds i get down to 200 and get 44 and i make a raise to 65k the player to my imidiate left makes it 150 to go i end up folding leaving me about 150 left but 1 more bust and prize pool jumps up $700 so i play really tight but we are 6 handed so blinds are going fast. i get down to 110 and get 66 i am at the cut-off i am way shorter than anybody on all 3 tables so i shove this i probably should have folded just for the pay increase.  i get called by a big stack with ak and turns a k.  but oh well i at least have some confidence for a multi-day tourney id still like to play event 8 but unsure on the chip count if i will or not only get 3k to start.

it was a sit and go for 2 winners both got $500lammers and $70 just played pretty tight got it in with the best.  got to piss someone off when they min raised 3 handed on the button sb called then i called on big blind we both check he shoves with j high i flopped 2 pair 3 and 6s i Q was also on the flop i was chip leader before that hand so that ended it

May 25, 2011, 7PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes at Aria
$250 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (29th out of 60 Players)

kept running into monsters and i kept missing.  got a 6 way pot in the bb with 2 6 of hearts flop comes 2 hearts q i raise 1/4 pot then i big reraise and an all in it comes back to me i am pretty short so i go all in and the other calls i have only 2 hearts but no other heart comes.  i rebuy and more of the same i get kk get called by a k and an a comes i get any hand and i miss the flop i win a couple bluffs but my chips are going away.  i get A Q i raise about half my stack preflop then somebody goes all in i have to call and they have a k i go home.

May 22, 2011, 10PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes at Binnions
$60 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (7th out of 19 Players)

didnt realize it was a turbo touney 15min levels 5k in chips.  but i start off well building my stack on without seeing the river, mostly with the worst hand.  then i make some calls with bottom pair for all ins on the rivers i do see against what i think are missed hands and i was right both times.  they were brothers so that helped a lil.  i had folded an over pair to an all in by somebody i thought was a tight decent player until i saw him call an all in with KJ with nothing invested then i presumed i should have knocked him out when he did that too me.  he did become the chip leader after a 2nd knock out but he flopped a set that time.  then i get A 7 in a 4 way limp and give it a shot the flop A QJ not a great flop for me but im the button it is checked to me i bet about half the pot the big stack calls all else folds. i dont put him on 2 pairs or better the turn is a 7 he checks i bet he shoves i call he shows A 10 the river is a k so i go home.

May 22, 2011, 2PM: Played 8 hours at Binnions
$100 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 81 Players)

no major suck outs against or for me the enrite tournament.  hung around chip average.  then i dropped to about half chip average for most of the tounrey.  i get QQ when down to 3 tables and i have about 30k in chips with blinds 4 and 8 i raise in 2nd position to 2100 bb reraises to 4300 i make it 7200 to go and he shoves i fold he then accidently flipped over 1 ace but said and i put him on aa the guy supposedably had them like 2 or 3 times before that then next hand i get 10 10 and make it 2100 and the button shoves i fold he showed kk and left me with about 12000 chips left.  about 40 min or so go buy and i get qq again i was able to slowly chip up to about 20k blinds are 5 and 1k with 100 ante now i make it 2600 to go then i get a shove from the bb (i was the button) then i limper reshoved. i tank for a bit and get a count of the 1st all in i have him by like 6k in chips i make the call the other has me way covered.  small stack has A Q large has 55 they both miss and i tripple up.  and from there i build up slowly not seeing many rivers and become i pretty dominante chip leader.  i bust a few people and then we get to the final table and i have about 25% of the chips.  2 go pretty quick and then i call a bet with suited A 10 from the 2nd chip leader with a call between flop 4 to the flush i am 1st and i check dark he bets and the other folds. turn gives me a gut shot and a flush i check he bets i shove and he calls the turn gave him 2 pair and i miss my straight and flush on the river so now i am short stacked with 8 left. i hold on timimg my shoves so i dont see i flop and hang around for a couple more to drop it takes about 70 min to loose anyone else.  we get down to 4 when big stack shoves player to my right who has been starting to shove more calls i get a count of the player to my right and i have him by 10k i have AQ and i call player to my right AK and big stack pocket 9s the 9s make a straight on the river but that gives me 3rd place $.

May 21, 2011, 7PM: Played 1 hour, 18 minutes at Aria
$250 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (33rd out of 65 Players)

yeah i reentered this one.  was playing well and acumulating chips until i get 2 7 on the button and a 6 way limp plus the blinds the blinds were 1 and 2 i make it 1600 to go and get 4 callers all check i bet the flop 3500 and get one caller then i bet the turn 3500 one caller then i shove all in on the river 5600 and he thinks about it and calls. i turn over my 7 2 off and said you win. he mucked his hand into the deck but dealer pushed him the pot i got the floor over and they said since they were able to retrive the cards from the muck and be certain they were his that they had to show it he rivered 3 Qs top card on the flop with A kicker so i rebought and like the 6th hand i am the bb with KK 6 way limp then the button huge chip lead shoves i call all else folds he shows A 9 and we all now what the river is the A i leave after that although i could have reentered again.

3 hands and lost them all. shouldn't have played so aggressively but was ahead till river all three times. A9 against KJ river a straight i flopped the A and played ultra agressive (i think i was still in the habit from the sat.) then A 9 again against A 7 flopped the A big flop bet and call then i checked turn and river and he rivered the 7. then QK this hand i actually started off in 2nd agaist AJ flop flop 10 J Q i check then reraise he just calls turn a 4 i check he shoves and i call then river a K. tournament over.  i was too aggressive for the chip count and blind levels.
