June 26, 2007, 6PM: Played 2 hours, Made $204.00 at Oaks Club
$4/8 Omaha Hi-Lo

Wanted to get my buy-in back.  Was happy to do that and more.  Might be my regular thing to do on Tuesday for now on.

June 26, 2007, 6PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $100.00 at Oaks Club
$100 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (23rd out of 81 Players)

Kind of an interesting tourny.  First time playing it.  Only started with 1000 in chips but was able to get a add-on at the break for 1500 more.  Only played one hand and got snapped by K6 suited.  Oh well, learned how to play it and might give it another shot later.

June 19, 2007, 1AM: Played 8 hours, Made $72.00 at California Grand
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Grinded back after being down 500.  Missplayed 2 hands that cost me all my chips.

On the button with nobody folding so I call the 1 chip.  I've always said "that one chip cost people a ton of money" and it did.  Had a rag 10-5 off "but it was only 1 chips to call".  Flopped 10 5 3 small blind bets 25 and get 3 callers so I raise to 80.  SB calls rest fold.  Turn 4, but before the card is put out he bets $3 blind.  Still thinking I have the best hand I raise to 100.  He then pushes all-in and puts on this show.  Starts digging in his pocket and getting more money, calling for chips, and saying "good hand you win".  I should have released my hand then.  But like a donkey I call.  He turned the straight and I miss the river.

A few hands later, a pretty tight player raises to 15 in early position.  I have AJ suited and call.  This causes 5 more people to call.  Flop comes JXX.  He bets 40...the donkey I am raises all-in for 150 more.  Everyone folds to him and he calls with AA.

Like I said, if not for these 2 mental mistakes I would have had a larger winnning session.  At least I can see my mistakes.  THAT MEANS I'M GETTING BETTER......I HOPE.
