February 28, 2007, 8PM: Played 3 hours, Made $130.00 at Palm Spring's Spa Resort
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

Nothing abnormal with this session. I started labeling players while at the tables (i.e., passive, agressive, semi-passive, semi-agressive, or passive-agressive). Initially, I labeled seats 1-5 (passive), I was in 6, 7 was agressive, and 8-9 were passive-agressive depending on seat 7s actions. I watched the players for a few rounds of the blind and soon realized something, seat 7 was really a passive player if bet into or raised. That is, he was only agressive while others were passive themselves. Once I jumped in and attempted to loosen up the game seat 7 tightened up and seats 8-9 went from passive-aggressive to more of a passive style. Seats 1-5 maintained their passive style thoughout the session and kept staring at my fucking sweater with lacking racing stripes. For some stupid reason, when newbies or tourists see a player wearing a poker oriented sweater at the table, they tend to back down.  Because I was playing with a group of passive players scared of my sweater knew that I would pull a win before even doing so. Unless they raised me or bet into me I knew I had the winning hand...So I played it as such...

February 27, 2007, 11AM: Played 2 hours, 15 minutes, Made $44.00 at Palm Spring's Spa Resort
$30 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (10th out of 72 Players)

All that work to take 10th. Well, at least I didn't bust on the bubble (i.e., 11th)! Palm Springs needs some bigger tournaments throughout the week.

February 25, 2007, 1AM: Played 1 minute, Broke Even at Full-Tilt
Free-Roll No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (360th out of 360 Players)

Oh hell, my 26 offsuit didn't make it anywhere. I'm a dork!

February 25, 2007, 1AM: Played 9 minutes, Broke Even at Full-Tilt
Free-Roll No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (263rd out of 360 Players)

Felt like screwing off a bit before I went to bed. See, I hate online poker so much now I have lowered myself to playing freeroll tournaments. Crazy thing is, Full-Tilt usually has 30-50 thousand people online but tonight they had less then 14,000. I guess the online bullshit is taking a swing at em?

February 24, 2007, 10PM: Played 3 hours, Made $266.00 at Palm Spring's Spa Resort
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

Another easy late night session with a bunch of retirees. Had to go out and promote World Poker Solutions with my new sweater... Fun stuff even though it doesn't have racing stripes! lol

February 24, 2007, 11AM: Played 1 hour, 45 minutes, Made $65.00 at Casino Morongo
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

While at the outlet malls I visited the casino next door and took a small win. Word for the wise, locate card rooms adjacent to shopping malls, outlets, etc. The wifey is less inclined to bitch and whine if she's shopping while you're playing cards. That is, "work smarter not harder."

February 22, 2007, 10PM: Played 3 hours, Made $144.00 at Palm Spring's Spa Resort
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Decided to pass on the heated $1,000 buy-in No-Limit game to settle in at the $4/8 table. I played like a rock and took my fair share of the pots. I should have left after my rush where I won 6 kill pots in a row and was up 2-1/2 racks. I started to come down off my chips and didn't want to take another loss so I cashed out a winner. $14 (oops $44) up for the evening to be exact but oh well.

It was a little after 1:00AM and was still wide awake so I decided to push my luck at that fucking Wheel of Fortune slot machine. Like always I won a few $15-50 progressive wins where the sirens, noise, and bullshit lights flash like crazy and make you think you won something bigger then you actually did!!! But hey, like the dumb shit I am continued playing and ended up winning a $515 progressive jackpot so I went home a $529 winner. All-in-all it was a good night...

February 22, 2007, 8PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $100.00 at Palm Spring's Spa Resort
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

I was down early in this session and it stayed that way so I cashed out. I intended to leave for the evening but decided to grab a bite to eat at the sushi bar down the street to clear my head and decide whether or not I'd take a stab at the $1,000 buy-in No-Limit or the $4/8 game.

February 20, 2007, 11PM: Played 45 minutes, Made $69.00 at Agua Caliente
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

On the way home from my softball game I decided to stop by the casino cleats and all. I picked up a few pots early and got quite a few weird looks... However, the cards went dry for 30 minutes so I took another persons advice and called it a night when I was up...
