July 29, 2007, 12PM: Played 4 hours, Lost $550.00 at Hollywood Park Casino
$550 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (32nd out of 106 Players)

Had a good time playing cards for charity. I played perfect poker until my pocket 8s in the small blind got cracked. Blinds are $200/400 with a $25 ante and the bb goes all-in for an additional $250 in chips after I made a raise of $500. Knowing he's just taking a stab at the pot, and after player in seat 7 limps in, I come over the top and go all-in with an additional $1,200. The player in seat 7 looks and thinks, looks and thinks, and makes the call. Flop comes k106 offsuit and is showing k10 in her hand so I'm drawing dead to the 8 which never gets there. The bb had 23 off??? I'm still trying to determine how the player in seat 7 could have called me there but such is life. I had an awesome time and met several celebs and poker pros which made the event worthwhile. Oh yes, I did win a $50 last longer bet from Daryl...lol.

Simply put, I kicked his ass! Between Jesse and Daryl I'm 5 for 6 heads up with these rookies.

July 22, 2007, 12PM: Played 6 hours, Lost $60.00 at Agua Caliente
$20/40 Texas Hold'em

This session had a specific purpose from the get go. I had no plans of making money but rather I was to sit there and watch every player for the first 3 hours playing nothing but pocket 8s or higher in any position and/or face cards given to me in middle or late positions. I think I have a good read on these players as they are here every day of the week from around noon to 6PM or so. At this time the donkeys and part-time players appear.

Although I took a minor loss for the session look at this experience as an investment for the future. I was watching and looking for all of your standard tells and made mental notes of them as the time went by. I would go into more detail but that would be just silly for others to come play in this juicy game and take my advice...lol

July 17, 2007, 5PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $200.00 at Agua Caliente
$6/12 Omaha Hi-Lo

Trying to come out of my recent slump I made a visit to the Omaha tables and came out dissappointed and blue, lol. Jesus, I'm on one hell of a downward spiral but will take a breather and get it back. All this online play has stunted my growth process!!!

July 15, 2007, 3PM: Played 3 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $22.00 at Poker Stars
$22 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (180th out of 589 Players)

This had to be one of the slowest tournaments in history. That is, slow as far as tournaments are concerned and the overall result. Played well but my pocket Ks were spiked by pocket As. Not much I can do there, they had a great hand and won with the fuckers! I was still in great position having not lost much from the last loss and cautious of my pocket pair and for good reason. However, right when I got back to chip average in the tournament (lot of freakin' work I might add) I was given A5 of diamonds in late position. This has become one of my favorite hands as I have won two jackpots with it now in the last year.

Tonight though I'm flopped trip Aces with a 5 kicker and there's a lot of action with the AsAcQd on the flop. A player in early position places a value bet and is raised by the player to my right. I come over the top with three times the raiser and the player in early position folds and the player to my right calls (please note: just calls). This is either a great move on his part or a poor bet of his trip As with a high kicker. Either way I would have called. The turn brings a rag 4 (dammit so close) and I bet the pot and am called again. Now I know he has the trips and he is scared I might have the boat. The river comes a 10 so I bet half my pot and I'm pushed in. I go for the chance that we both have trips (he's not betting a straight draw) but my mistake here is thinking they were good. I was hoping he caught two pair, Ks and Qs or the trips and we play the board for the kicker but he knocked me out of the tournament with trips and a K kicker. Shoot!!!

July 15, 2007, 12PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $11.00 at Poker Stars
$11 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3,351st out of 17500 Players)

This is one of those rare occasions where a tournament and site in general doesn't piss me off but rather makes me question a site's integrity in general. Or should I assume that 19/20 times my pocket As will lose to bullshit hands. Now I'm sure there's a couple of you who can determine mathmatically the odds of this occurance or the chance of 3 players (Jimmy, Deiyuo and myself) us losing 36/40 pocket As in a a three day span. To be honest, I can care less of the odds and will delete any response to that fact.

However, I was deep in the 100k guarantee when my pocket As was beat by pocket 7s. I mean Jesus, what the hell is going on with online gaming??? No need to respond as I am just thinking!!!

July 14, 2007, 3PM: Played 3 hours, Lost $20.00 at Poker Stars
$5.50 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (477th out of 2371 Players)

To be honest I played as good as anyone could in my position. The cards were right, betting was perfect and I had the reads on everyone for the most part. That is until the notorius As was drawn out on by a piece of shit hand. I would go into detail but their hand isn't even worth mentioning, lol. Besides it makes me feel better not talking about my bad beats. I start sounding like a friend of mine from Montana.

July 14, 2007, 12PM: Played 2 hours, 15 minutes, Lost $55.00 at Poker Stars
$55 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (407th out of 1337 Players)

Played okay for the first two hours and was given some really nice hands that paid off. That is until I was given AA in late position and had a Q9 offsuit call all my raises before hitting his straight on the river. Jesus, these As are killing me! At this point I was crippled and it was either go all-in with a bs hand or get blinded off.
