Got drilled left and right and got up from the game to play some slots. I wanted to jump back in but they pulled me after 1 round of the button. Shitty thing is, there's a 3 round policy. Fuckers lost my business!!!!!

Took a hit early in this game and like yesterday had to play like a rock to make my stack back. To make a long story short I was able to crawl back from a $200 loss for the night to a $42 loss. Better then nothing...but I think both Jesse and I have hit a wall these last 2-3 days... Time for a porterhouse and salmon barbecue.

March 27, 2007, 12AM: Played 5 hours, Lost $50.00 at Agua Caliente
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Shitty session. I jumped up a rack and a half early but was cold-carded for the next 3 hours where my chip stack went down to $60. &%$#!!!! I tightened the reigns a bit, actually, Jesse left the game for 3-4 rounds to talk on the phone, and the betting structure was more manageable. As such, I was able to increase my chip stack to $150 where I finally called it a night for a $50 loss. Jesse and I grabbed some early breakfast and slept for the next day-and-a-half. Generally speaking, it was nice to see Jesse in rare form. The "I'm having a drink or two - hell ya baby - ship-it!-I raise " attitude. It was nice to see a friend enjoy the game again.

I was down $540 with this agro a-hole in the game. Both Jesse and I were growing frustrated with his 3rd and 4th nut draws where he would bet it out and take it on the river. I starting playing loose with an "I don't give a shit" mentality and slowly started making my money back so losing $155 is like a win for me.

Pissed off at the dealer and my making an accidental call for $24 got out of the game fuming! Jesse won the pot (over $250) so I didn't feel as bad donating to his cause but went home with a small win to hang with the family and enjoy a little barbeque. I'm sure Jesse will comment on his long and successful session, including such encounters with crazy meth-heads, etc. LOL

$50 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (64th out of 100 Players)

In the BB with pocket Qs 6 players call pre-flop. Note: no raises pre-flop so I knew that my Qs were good. On my option I raise an additional 2,000 chips (200/400 blinds) to see where everyone's at. Not something I'd usually do given the blinds and position but wanted to get the limpers to fold so they don't catch something in this crap shoot tournament. Again, everyone simply calls. I'm certain at this point that I have the best hand. The flop comes 3 7 J. I bet 3,000, seat 3 calls and seat 6 folds. A 2 comes on the turn (all four cards different suits). I bet out 5,000 and seat goes all-in for an additional 2,000. Knowing now that she has either pocket kings or aces took time to think about the call, which I did thinking she might also be on a straight draw. Down to my last 4,000 chips make the call and she flips over the pocket Ks (ouch!!!). I was shot and wounded that she played the hand the way she did but she got the better of me and I was down to 2,000 chips going into the break.
 
After the break I held on until the blinds were 1,000/2,000 where I was given pocket 4s. Fuck, I went all-in on a hope and prayer... I lose to K9 off and was out in 64th.
