January 31, 2007, 11PM: Played 6 hours, Made $280.00 at Forrests
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

nice win after being in for $400. 2 key hands, both very similar, determined my session. limped in late position with J10 diamonds. we took the flop 6 handed: 4d8d10c. a woman led out for $10, another player who i knew to be tight raised to $30. before i could decide what to do, the woman pushed all he chips in the middle, declaring she was not on a flush draw. i knew if i moved in that the other player would fold a hand like A10, so i decided to gamble and pushed. sure enough he folded A10 and the woman had 4c8c. I was not ahead when the money went in. the turn was another 8, so it didnt matter if i made my flush, and lost a huge pot.

In the other key hand, i called a $15 raise from the BB with Q10 hearts. we took the flop 3 handed: 4h6hTc. eerily similar. i checked, the preflop raiser led out for $35. he was a pretty tight player and i knew he had an over pair and was not drawing. the second player called. this was a new player to our game, and in his first session he had shown the abilty to win many hands with little to no strength, but he also would chase almost any draw and didnt like to lay any hands down. i knew this was my chance to gamble again and i could win a huge pot. i didnt take long to raise allin, $336 on top of the $35. the preflop raiser called allin, but he had only about $80 left. after a minute to think, the 3rd player called also, he had me covered. i was up against JJ and A5 hearts. This time i was ahead when the moeny went in. The turn brought a beautiful Qd and the river was another ten just for good measure. i took down a pot of over $700. finally a good win. i needed this

January 31, 2007, 3PM: Played 3 hours, Made $17.14 at Doyles Room
$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

didnt really catch any cards on either table, but stayed patient for the most part. did make on really bad call. flopped a nut straight and led out. next 2 cards were both terrible for me, and called a large bet on the river, basically hoping he was bluffing.
