December 11, 2007, 7PM: Played 9 hours, 30 minutes, Made $148.00 at Forrests
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em
played solid and tight at first and was winning a bit, but somewhere along the line, i loosened up and started playing like a total donkey, calling large raises preflop with less than marginal hands. i was very tired and when i lost my first $200 buyin, i should have left. but i forced myself to stay because this is the only time all week i'll be able to play. i shouldnt let the win mask the fact that i played badly and played for the wrong reasons...so when i decided to stay, i reloaded for $300, in the game for 500. was actually down to less than $100 but made a very good comeback. we bagan playing 6 and 7 handed, and i won most every pot. my bluffs were well timed and i made several big hands that got paid off. as soon as i got to even, i was about to pick up my stack and run for it, but just then jonny walked in. jonny is the worst player i have ever played with. he bluffs at every pot, no matter what. hes not scared of coordinated board or someone calling him all the way down. if he has 2 cards, he will bet. so he paid everyone else off and i got to be the one to double him up so he could play a little while longer before giving all away again. damn. such easy money and i couldnt get to it. anyway, playing 4 handed at 4am, i make it $7 from utg with 46s. scott and dody call. flop comes 2s3s5s. yes, you read that right, i flopped a straight flush in a 4 handed game. i lead out for $10. it would have looked more suspicious if i had checked. scott calls behind, i put him on a big hand, maybe flopped the nuts. dody calls from bb, hes playing badly, i dont give him credit for much. turn pairs the 3, great card for me. i want to see how strong scott is, so i check. he bets $22, dody checkcalls. at this point i think about it and decide now is as good a time as any to raise. i looks like they both have a hand and want to play, so i make it $65. scott folds. damn. not as strong as i thought. dody moves in for about $120. wish it was more. he has 46o, flopped a straight and pushed in against 3 spades and a paired board. told you he wasnt playing good. nice pot though at the end. i got lucky but i'll take it
