July 26, 2006, 2AM: Played 9 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $160.00 at lucky lil's butte
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

man, another frustrating session.  i won't claim to have had my A game by any means, but I had 2 massive pots both well over what I lost that were miracled away. the first one happened when I was close to even....this game is a rammer jammer with every pot near 100 bucks, 8 way action I call on my button with 79 off, not a monster, but I got the flop I wanted...7 9 K.  it's bet and raised on the flop with about 5 way action, I just call waiting to pounce on the turn when the dream 9 peels off.  I already have these chips spent when I get to raise the turn and everyone calls.  Of course the river is the beautiful K and K 4 off trots off with my huge pot.  little bit later I have another premium hand (yeah right)..A J and flop J 2 3.  there are 2 people betting and raising with me cold calling.  turn 9 river 2.  it ends up me and one of the donkeys who raised every street then bet the river with the monster 2 8 off.  I pretty much gambled up after that and was stuck about 60 or 80 more than I ended up.  pretty frustrating session overall between losing those pots and also being completely unable to either flop a set or make a flush draw while all these major pots are going on.  this one couple who has no clue how to play (coincidently I lost one of the big pots to both of them) somehow manage to both book wins where they are usually good for torking off 500 or more.  I feel like I am in one step forward and one step back on this log where as coming into it I felt pretty solid with my game and assumed I would be in mostly an upward direction.  hopefully things turn around.

July 24, 2006, 11PM: Played 2 hours, Made $120.00 at club moderne, Anaconda MT
$5/10 Texas Hold'em

2-10 spread limit game.  finaly broke out my streak of running bad early.  played very tight until I woke up with KK and survived 4 way action with it.  then had 44 in the bb flopping bottom set and getting to check raise a donkey that paid it off.  other than that just avoided trouble and took down a few here and there.

July 24, 2006, 1AM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $7.00 at magic diamond Bozeman
$5/10 Texas Hold'em

Frustrating session as I got stuck about 150 right off the bat with rags like KQ suited and such totally missing the flop.  Found a little rush to get even and pretty much just stayed there the rest of the session.  Made a couple laydowns that ended up being unfortunate as I got confused by players that I thought I had a good read on but ended up they completely were somewhere else.  This resulted in me laying down 2 winners that would have given me a decent win for the session.  First live game in a while, so it wasn't too bad.  The table was far too tight, meaning more players like myself and not any ramming donkeys for me to pick off.

July 20, 2006, 8PM: Played 2 hours, Made $10.00 at lucky lil's butte
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

JESUS what a frustrating 10 buck win.  had AA cracked twice (once by 2 7 from the bb, he rivered a 7), 2 pair beat on a river, a turned flush get drilled by a bigger flush on the river putting 4 on the board, AK beat when I flopped a K....the hits kept on coming.  I had to pull a miracle 3 outer on my last hand to get winner. AK suited in the sb, button raises, flop is A T 4 rainbow. I lead out he calls, I figure he has an A so I go for checkraise on turn when a 9 hits, it works but backfires when he 3 bets me, I call, the river is a K, I only had like 20 bucks left so I said if he has a set good hand as I bet out he raises and I 3 bet it...he rolls over AT.  Nice to catch a river, espeically against that donker as he is clown that couldn't lay down 27 when I raise under the gun with AA.  I figure if I run decent I make 150 easy...very frustrating session.

July 18, 2006, 11PM: Played 3 hours, Lost $155.00 at partypoker.com
$2/4 Omaha

there goes the online bankroll again.  man I am getting so frustrated at the type of hand where you totally out flop someone and you have their outs and they still get there.  Two cases in point...first off I have AA79 double suited, flop is K T 8 with 2 of one of my suits and 1 of the other, great flop, turn is the 6, giving me nut str. and another nut flush draw, a guy is in with 2nd nut flush draw and JQ for broadway, which I have completely dominated, of course an A peels right off.  Then the hand that basically busts me I have A8QT double suited....I flop top 2 with A T and the second nut spade draw.  The donkey that raised preflop with KK34 is drawing to a spade or a K, river comes spade.  If I win both of these pots I am discussing my win, instead I am out for a while again, but I am kinda happy about that.  I need to get into some live games, online just doesn't agree with me anymore.

July 18, 2006, 11AM: Played 3 hours, Made $55.00 at partypoker.com
$1/2 7-Card Stud

started off playing some 1/2 omaha hi and omaha hi lo which almost cost me the 100 I had on there.  with about 30 left i got in a 7 stud game and found the heat.  the major victory was also a loss.  I was having connection problems and when I woke up with 999 to start I got disconnected after 5th street.  I was up against 5 way action capped after 3rd and 4th, so there was over 50 in the pot after I was disconnected.  A's and Q's took a 20+ buck side pot that I would have been ramming as I didn't improve but held up.  That pot got me close to even and I managed to make several more hands and booked a little win.

July 12, 2006, 10AM: Played 8 hours, Lost $498.00 at partypoker.com
$2 Pot-Limit Omaha

I don't even want to go into great detail on this log.  I had a series of lovely 2 outers that really put me in a poor state of mind.  I should have quit.  This is my typical tork it all off in one night type of deal.  Very frustrated.  Done with online again until next month now after I had it built up nicely.  UGGHHHHH

anyway, the final hand that cost me my last 200 was nut str. vs. flush draw all in.  never a doubt that 9 outer is peeling right off on the turn, why wouldn't it.  very frustrating, but very typical for me ramming it all off in one session instead of taking a medium sized loss and rebuilding the next session.  FACK!

$3/6 Omaha Hi-Lo

played in tournament and a 3/6 omaha hi lo game.  beat the high lo but lost tourny entry.

fairly frustrating hand to bust out of tourny.  I have 21 k in chips, 100 players left, top 60 place.  I pick up 99 in middle position, two limpers before me so I decide to take a flop for cheap.  flop comes 8 6 4 rainbow.  one of limpers fires a pot sized bet (about 3k) which I make 8k. he just calls.  turn is a 7, great card for me.  I decide to move all for my last 13k mainly because I thought I had the best hand.  he thinks for a minute and calls...QQ.  I still had the open ender and the set draw, but miss it all and away I went.  anyone that reads this and would like to commentate on the hand I am welcome to all criticism of how I played the hand.

July 10, 2006, 12AM: Played 4 hours, Made $141.19 at partypoker.com
$2/4 Omaha Hi-Lo

played a couple 1/2 omaha hi low tables, a 2/4 hi low and also one 2/4 straight hi omaha 6 max, which is where almost all the profit came from.  at that game there was a total donker that raised every hand preflop, he was sitting directly to my left giving me free reign for check raises which greatly increased my win rate.  it also kept my out of a lot of mariginal hands, so I liked having him there.  the omaha hi lo was a grind, I would have had a pretty good session had a hit a couple of massive draws, but that's pretty much what you could say about any session, happy to find one place to make $ and break even elsewhere.  hoping I don't have my typical meltdown now that my online account is at a decent amount again.

I should also mention this was at least the 3rd or 4th consecutive session where I started out and got stuck over 100, this time about 150 before I finally pulled down some pots and got rolling.  it's odd because my direction seems constant whichever way it's going, I am either on fire or ice cold.  was a rollercoaster session where I got down 150, even, up about 120, back to even, stuck like 70, then finally ended on a rush and gave up ahead

July 9, 2006, 7AM: Played 3 hours, Made $49.00 at partypoker.com
$3/6 Omaha Hi-Lo

another session where I get stuck early and come back. was down over 100 early, then I finally got some hands to stand up for decent pots.  had the biggest pot of this session go away runner runner, over 200 in there and I flop top set and have a donkey with top 2 in a raising war. some other clown goes running spades (and low hits as well, so half was bye bye anyway), but after that one things went more smoothly

end up ahead 10 bucks for the day, which is pretty all right with me after being stuck 250 or whatever
