February 22, 2007, 2AM: Played 4 hours, 30 minutes, Made $55.00 at nichols helena, MT
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

typical rollercoaster session for me....was all in for the last of my 300 buy in with the nut flush draw on the flop, turned a brick and drilled the nuts on the river to get me back over 200 then picked up AA and KK back to back hands and made both stand up to get a nice little win.

one hand frustrated me more than any other...I have nothing..I am in bb with JQ..it's raised and like 4 callers so I limp..flop A 5 2..everyone checks the flop..the turn is a 10...I fire 25 and get everyone to fold but one kid that agonized over that call..the river is a total brick..a 7 I think it was and I push out 50..he thinks and thinks before finally calling as he says this is the worst call ever and rolls over K T and drag the pot.  this is the 3rd time I have made a good read about a time I could bluff at a pot and I have been unable to get the person to lay down in this game. I was with a good buddy both times and he said he didn't notice any tells and to be honest the kid that called was too big a donkey to notice any if I were giving them.  I don't know if bluffing simply isn't an option in this game or what but I felt I had good read and the balls to fire the second big bullet and I came up empty.  maybe was just against the wrong player or something....what can you do? I guess next time I will just have to show him a monster when he makes a bad call.

February 20, 2007, 2AM: Played 2 hours, Lost $81.50 at lucky lil's butte
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

was actually a 163 loss, but only half from my bankroll as I was partners with the other dealer

hello frustrating session!

I have 3 hands in which I am in the lead when the money goes in and go 0 for 3.  for the second consecutive monday I have top top vs. an open ender and am drawing dead after the turn spikes my opponent the nuts.  then I have AJ vs A2 and flop A 5 T...turn a 2.  finally a hand where I suck out on the turn and get all in but I can't make it stand up.  a truly horrible player makes it 7 to go...I call with the raggedy Q9 suited..the flop is 9 7 6, the player bets 20 and I call...the turn comes Q...another 20 bet, she only has 30 more so I push her in..insta call...and rolls over KK, didn't put her anywhere near that big of a hand but I am a big favorite until the river 7 pairs the board and gives her K's up.  I had about 40 bucks left but couldn't stand it anymore and got up.

February 15, 2007, 3AM: Played 3 hours, 50 minutes, Lost $36.00 at lucky lil's butte
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

ran pretty shitty...stuff like JJ vs A5 and JJ vs 34 both went down flames, unfortunately both hit in a way that I was forced to pay them off...could've been worse

February 13, 2007, 2AM: Played 4 hours, Lost $100.00 at lucky lil's butte
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

was actually a -200 as I was playing for my dealing partner to keep the game alive...

very frustrating session in that I was playing great early and had over 150 in profits...I came off a few chips but still was winning when a player that is very wild made a move at a pot..I have A10 in middle position and limp behind a couple others...a ramming button player makes it 10 and 4 of us take the the flop 10 8 5 rainbow...the early position player instantly moves all in for about 50 bucks...I give it some thought before finally deciding that no one behind me is calling... I was almost positive I had the best hand based on the table talk from the all in player and he rolled over about what I would expect from him...the J 9 open ender giving him 11 outs twice...needless to say the Q peels right off the turn.  I really don't think I was on tilt or even steaming, I made the right play but my session took a nosedive from there.  moves I was making earlier stopped working and my stack just went downward until I finally ended up all in with 22 vs. 10 10 and didn't get lucky.

February 10, 2007, 4PM: Played 4 hours, Made $60.00 at lucky lil's butte
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

was an OTC this time...I have decided to start logging it because of my fuck soft playing attitude.  I got stuck 100 right away last night but had no doubt I would get even with the 4 or 5 clowns still in the game.  playing with these people so much they might as well play most of their hands face up...I probably won every pot that we all missed on just betting out based on their body language.  I am hoping to start playing NL every wednesday as I travel out of town to work and the game doesn't get going til later and use my reading skills to toture a very soft game in helena once a week.

February 9, 2007, 4AM: Played 6 hours, Made $134.00 at lucky lil's butte
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

actually only made 94 in put in my pocket cash out money..but I gave 40 to one of my dealers out of my stack hoping he could put together something.

anyway this game was as wild a 3/6 as I have seen in a long time...our buddy jimmy ramming with me and a couple regular donkeys then the drunken donkey couple extradonaire steps in and the game was on from there.  I was stuck over 200 before I finally started calling with pretty much any connected hand hoping to find a heater...it finally started with 57 suited vs. AA and a 752 flop...I was behind on the turn when a certain poster on this site called with 10 2 and spiked a 10 but the river 7 gave me a nice pot..about 5 hands later I flop 77Q with 7J to crack another AA.  after about a 90 minute heater I was up about 150 to find myself on the cooler..in 4 hands I have AA cracked twice and then flop bottom set with 77 and get that beat as well...back to being up only 30..but I make quads a couple hands later on what happened to be the last hand when I wake up with AA for the 3rd time in 15 minutes and get a donkey to bet into me twice and pay it off.

overall I wasn't too happy about how my discipline really went out the window...the first 150 stuck was on almost all legit hands that just missed...then I lost with a couple huge hands before finally catching fire and snapping some monsters.  the players in that game are so easy to read and I rarely take an aggressive approach since I don't want to piss anyone off, but tonight I was stuck enough that I really couldn't do anything like that if I wanted to get some chips back.  I am thinking I might just do what jesse has suggested and ram hard at them all the time and get some respect out of them.  fuck em.

February 8, 2007, 6AM: Played 4 hours, Made $8.00 at nichols helena, MT
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

was first time I played for real in a while..was nice to get out and ram a little bit...session started pretty rough as I picked up several small wired pairs and couldn't connect...then I made good reads on 2 pots and tried to bluff only to be called by donkeys...one I have 89 hearts, preflop button raiser has 77..board is KQQT4 and he calls me on the turn and river after we both check the flop...another time I made a move with nut flush draw from the BB on a 2 2 8 flop only to be called by KJ and see a K spike the river...I was stuck about 200 at my worst..finally picked up a little momentum with 10 10 then my key hand was with 66 under the gun...ended up being about 7 way action...flop is J 6 5 with 2 clubs..I fire 10 hoping to get some action..one guy calls another makes it 45..I have about 125 left so I tell the dealer to finish it...get insta called in both spots..one has 55 other a flush draw...turn 2 river J and I am 8 buck winner woohoo!
