February 27, 2006, 5PM: Played 1 hour, Made $10.00 at J-La's house
$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 8 Players)

50-30-10 breakdown.  Pushed twice in a row with rooter.  Lost both to Jeff with Ace rag.  A little ego boost beating his master. :)

February 26, 2006, 2PM: Played 3 hours, Lost $131.00 at Big Daddy's
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Played very well today.  Once again, a friend next to me is always a good thing.  Make my game much stronger because of converstation and time killing.  Had my bearings on the game today, and stayed close to even most of the day.  IT got short handed and ran into a few problems with big hands.  Some people would call them bad beats or suck outs.  I played the hands perfect.  The only thing I could have done is told the person I had what I had after the turn to make them fold.  Which was a thought at the time.  Game got too short, luckily I got beat by my diamond in the rough.  CHips went to a good place.

February 24, 2006, 9PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $21.00 at Big Daddy's
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Started off loosing the remainder of what I had from on the clock, and rebuying within five minutes.  I settled in and played a little smarter.  The game was very volitile and was hard to strategize.  Once again, got caught up playing bad, and did not stick with it a few hands.

The one thing I have learned lately in that I loosen up on FRIDAY.  I know where I am at, and the money I have earned for the week, some my mind lets me know that I can have some goofy time.  So, that is the next thing I could work on.  Spirits were very good today.  I had to be the table captain a few times and let people know to basically shut the hell up before they pissed off the loose players with all my chips.

Good week though, can't complain!

February 23, 2006, 11PM:
Chip stack

My new thing has really done me well.  I set my chips up so I can't tell how much I have in front of me.  I cannot let how much money I have affect my playing.  It should be the same for 30 or 200 dollar chip stack.  This is my new discipline, and as for right now, it is working!

February 23, 2006, 8PM: Played 1 hour, 45 minutes, Made $113.00 at Big Daddy's
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Cap off a good days work. A lot of this was a stone cold heater (oxymoron) for about 20 minutes.  Played the good hands, and just got them several in a row that stood up.  I was up probably a bill more than what I posted, but I was enjoying the session, beating up on a select few of "money givers", and enjoying a nice glass of wine and some friendly chatter next to me.  I did make a couple of baaaaad calls late in the session when I new I was beat.  Still have to be careful about that.

February 23, 2006, 8PM: Played 1 hour, Made $50.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

HOw could I possibly resist this game.  Basically I did not have any urge to deal because of the annoying people in the game.  So....why not use my poker skills to get there money by playing.  I really have my head on straight as of late.  Not costing myslef bunches of money on mediocre hands, and laying down flush and straight draws a lot more.  I hope I can keep this focus and never tilt again.

February 23, 2006, 2PM: Played 45 minutes, Made $41.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Got the game fired up today.  The players at the table were rather vulnerable, so I used that and made 3 very calculated bluffs to book a win.  I also flopped a monster 6 handed with 56 suited on the button.  I am now starting to experiment with slowing my game down a bit and controlling the pace.  Concentrating on making the same movements and gestures every time.  If I feel like someone does have aread on me, I will change my style up, and try to throw them through a loop.  Nice to start the day off right!
