December 31, 2006, 5PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Made $28.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Yes Yes, I know it is hard to believe, I booked a win on the clock.  Funny story thoough.  I didn't win a hand for the first 30 minutes and only bought in 60.  I had eight dollars left, and then played really tight.  I know....it is a shocker that I didn't play in the dark and just get the Eff out of there.  I started to realize that this is good lesson for me to play short stacked, even though I don't get the most for my action.  Anyway, I ran that up to almost 170.  But, the problem of jumping out of a four handed game and saving my win is always the problem.  I played solid the hole time.  Got snapped twice with AA and QQ, but then fought back.  I really was only behind twice and got there for decent size pots.  Learned some really valuable lessons today, and even if I would have lost, I had it under control.  Just gonna start thinking about myself a bit more and realize that if I take minimal losses OTC, then I can always play on my own time which I am doing really well at lately.

December 28, 2006, 9PM: Played 30 minutes, Lost $35.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

One last try for the night.  Didn't do anything but get trapped once with a big draw.  Game filled up again and I am calling it a night.  Probably call it a weekend.  Yeesh!

December 28, 2006, 9PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $60.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Jumped in the game to see if I could get some money back, and actually played well, but same ending.  Got in 160 and could not catch a break.  Every flush/straight got there, and the occasional bottom pair got there for my opponents.  Soooooooo......with my last 8 dollars I played in the dark and won three pots in a row doing that before I had to get up.  Hmmmmmmmm.....irony?

December 28, 2006, 7PM: Played 5 hours, Lost $340.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Just another one of those days.  Get up 100, but can't break up a game and dump it all back.  Really the only hands that I won were when I was behind and caught up.  The whole day was people catching me everytime I caught top pair.  Starts to sting when you don't drag a pot in 300+ dollars.  Yes, I did loosen up a bit at the end, probably lost an extra 40 because of that, but still can't regulate.  I just need to start stopping at maybe 200 and call it good for the day.  And of course, the game fill up after 5.5 hours on short handed and I have to get up.  Oh woe is me again! I hope the dealers appreciate it.

Got in a rack real quick with some big draws that didn't pan out.  Bought another rack and got even and called it a day.  Really just playing to get players club points.  Bonus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

December 23, 2006, 11PM: Played 4 hours, Made $501.00 at Lilac Lanes
Texas Hold'em

Well, another good night for me in this game.  It was a 2-10 spread limit.  We also had 2-25 overs buttons between 4 players for a bit.  This was an interesting night for several reasons.  The first reason being that I change the way I played a bit from when I played last.  I was a bit more passive and didn't get crazy to create all the action.  I did by a few friends some drinks, that always helps a bit.  I turned over some good hands....and some bad, as the action sometimes warrants playing 56 suited on the button with 6 callers.  You get my drift.

The thing that upsets me, but am not surprised, is a few instances that happen this evening.  I had some pretty good respect for the dealers at this house, I still do...being a close second our third to our poker room.  But, I was caught in a situation where I was in a pot with a pseudo friend, basically turned my hand over, saw the opponent had a flush, and proceed to turn my hand face down and push it in a bit.  I didn't say fold and I didn't throw them into the muck.  The dealer announced that I had a full house....and I was astonished to notice that the board was double paired.  I was too busy reading my opponent that I did not even realize it.  The fact that the dealer didn't muck it and I turned it back over somewhat disturbs me, as I would have mucked the hand quickly and pushed the pot to the flush.  My pseudo friend was a bit upset...but the inexperience payed off for me this time.  I guess what bugs me is that he directed the the full house comment to me, and just didn't read the board like he should have.  He said, "You have a full house", not "full house, queens full of fives".  But I guess not every dealer is perfect.

The other thing that went wrong tonight from the houses stand point was another bad seed in the poker game.  I love it...I get to play target poker and take all of his chips.  The very first hand this kid turns his AJ face up and folds with for people to act at the table.  The dealer did a good job with this and go t on his case.  Then there was table talking and bad mouthing players.  The first incident, he played K3 and spiked a three on the river and took the pot down.  He then proceeded to bad mouth his opponent because she raise with K8 suited and basically had him dominated the whole way.  He was doing an excellent job of distracting the fact that he sucked out by slandering his opponent.  But.....he forgot one thing! Daryl was at the table! So at this time, you would think the house would step in and say something.  Nope, so Daryl did.  Politely telling him to stack his chips and shut up.

After take about 200 off of him in the next hour, he out flopped me with a set and took down a good sized pot.  He piped up again, saying how good he was and I was a donkey for calling him the whole way.  CRACK! Daryl goes off.  I basically told him to shut the F up and stack his chips, there were some other words, and then the floor finally stepped in.  This should have happened a long time ago! He apologized, the best he could...and we went on.  The thing that really bugged me is that the dealer, a dealer that has dealt at the WSOP......ooooooooh, came to me and said thank you for saying something.  I was polite and said no problem, but I really felt like telling him that it was his job, and it should have not had to come to that point.  I still like most of the dealers and floor.  They try really hard, it is just hard to find a well run card room these days!

Oh, hey...I won 5 bills last night.  Yippeee!

December 22, 2006, 3PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes, Lost $199.00 at BD's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Wow, back to my old self again.  Played well, and just got caught up on every time.  Started out 70 ahead, and the went cold.  Not even cold, just lots of suckouts coming my way.  I really had no time coonstraints this time, and the OTC did not affect my play.  I did make a couple of stubborn calls, but I was pretty much pot commited.  It's like Jesse and I talked about.  The more you push, the harder they want to suck out because the pots to big.  Maybe, for this game, I need to slow down a bit, even when I know I have the best hand on the flop.  Will analyze more later.

$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Thats right folks! I did it.  I booked a win for the whole day while OTC.  We tried to fire up a 5 handed game late, but noone came in.  I beat up the game and busted it.  Do I feel bad? HELL NO!
